As a woman, shouldn’t you choose the region’s only specialty hospital dedicated solely to women?
For years, our patients have understood that we care about women. That is why when women need general surgery, they choose the place they’ve come to trust and rely upon for quality healthcare.
Some of the most common general surgical procedures performed at Woman’s include:
- Appendectomy
- Breast Reconstruction
- Breast Surgery
- Colon Resections
- Hernia Repairs
- Laparoscopic or Robotic Cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal)
- Laparoscopic or Robotic Gastrectomy
- Vertical Sleeve (weight loss surgery)
- Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication for gastroesophageal reflux)
Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery
While Woman’s performs surgeries on an inpatient and outpatient basis, this decision is made by your physician. Based on the type of surgery and surgeon’s discretion, patients will recover in a private day surgery room before going home the same day, or a private hospital room for a longer stay.
Whether your surgery is considered outpatient surgery is determined by several factors:
- Complexity of the surgery
- Length of the surgery
- Whether you have other chronic health conditions that may complicate your recovery
The Surgical Care Unit has 20 contemporary private rooms in the main hospital and 12 rooms in the Same Day Surgery Center. After surgery, outpatients return to the Surgical Care Unit and inpatients are admitted to a private room in the appropriate unit for extended care. Your family may relax in a comfortable waiting area while you are in surgery.
Uncompromising quality. Enduring impact.
