Visiting a Surgery Patient
Please see our surgery visitation policy.
Guidelines for visiting a patient after surgery:
-
Minimize talking as a courtesy to resting patients.
-
Woman's has several private designated waiting areas for visitors, including family lounges and public areas. Due to safety and privacy concerns, please avoid waiting in the hallways of patient care areas.
-
Do not bring food or coffee into the room. Food smells can make the patient feel queasy.
-
Promote rest by limiting light, noise and touch. Do not turn on the TV unless the patient requests. Turn off or down ringers on all phones.
-
We do not recommend bringing infants or children to visit the day of surgery.
