Woman’s Hospital Announces Glynis Cowart as New Senior Vice President and CIO of Information Systems

Woman’s is pleased to announce that Glynis Cowart is our new senior vice president and chief information officer. As a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Cowart brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of systems at all levels of healthcare information and technology operations. Cowart has managed multiple digital divisions and in her most recent role as CIO of Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, she successfully completed a multi-year rollout of Epic, the most comprehensive electronic health record platform used by hospitals and health systems.

Among the many awards she has received, Cowart was recognized as having led one of the best MHS Epic go-live to date in 2021 and was selected by the SUNY Orange Foundation & Alumni Engagement as a “Women in STEM” recipient in 2024. She holds professional certifications including Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems as well as Epic accreditations and credentials. In addition, she maintains memberships with several organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Cowart earned her Master of Public Administration from Marist College and Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Nyack College.
