Woman's Hospital Welcomes New Year Baby

Six hours into the new year, Dylan Leonardo Cervantes Veresaluce entered the world, becoming one of the first babies born at Woman’s Hospital in 2024. Proud parents Yuri Veresaluce Cordoba and Ruben Cervantes Gonzalez welcomed their baby boy into the world at 6:04 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2024.

Yuri did not expect to give birth today, 9 days before her due date, but baby Dylan had other plans. Weighing in at 7 lbs. 1 oz. and measuring 20.5 inches long, mom and baby are both doing well.

Woman's Hospital gifted the family a basket with books, supplies and a "New Year Baby" onesie in celebration. With 8,000 babies born a year at Woman's, Dylan is the first of many special lives to be welcomed at the hospital in 2024.
