Laurie Whitaker , MD

Dr. Laurie Whitaker is a board-certified OB/GYN at Louisiana Women’s Healthcare in Baton Rouge. With more than two decades of experience, she combines trusted medical expertise with a warm, attentive approach to caring for women through every stage of life, from adolescence through menopause.

Dr. Whitaker provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care centered on comfort, trust, and each patient’s individual needs. She has special expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, and is also experienced in performing major abdominal procedures when medically necessary.

She cares for patients with both routine and high-risk pregnancies, offering steady guidance and personalized support throughout pregnancy and delivery. Dr. Whitaker works closely with each patient to promote a safe, positive birth experience and offers elective induction and cesarean delivery when appropriate.

Dr. Whitaker is married to Dr. Kenny Kleinpeter, and they have two children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
