Summary

Dr. Whittaker was born at Woman’s hospital and grew up in Baton Rouge. After attending St. Joseph’s Academy and completing her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University, she earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2015. Dr. Whittaker completed her residency in 2018 at the Baton Rouge General Family Medicine program, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Whittaker is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and also the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Louisiana Academy of Family Medicine, and the Obesity Medicine Association.

Special Interests

Dr. Whittaker has a special interest in metabolic conditions, women’s health, and obesity medicine. Building on her previous experience in primary care, she provides preventative, patient-centered care focused on long-term health and wellness. Dr. Whittaker is grateful to care for patients in her hometown and enjoys getting to know them as she offers thoughtful, personalized care and supports them on their journey toward better health and well-being.
