Derrick Spell , MD

Summary

Dr. Spell graduated from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Medical Oncology through the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.

Dr. Spell is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He received the "Best Doctor" Award from the Best Doctors in America from 2007 to the present.

He a member of the Institutional Review Board at Woman's Hospital from 2007 to the present and is also a member of the Breast Cancer Leadership Committee at Woman's Hospital from 2009 to the present.
