Dr. Lafranca graduated from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology there as well.

Dr. Lafranca is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Woman's Hospital active staff, member of the Woman's Hospital Foundation, Secretary-Treasurer of the Woman's Hospital Medical Executive Committee, member of the Capital Area Medical Society, Member of the OB Patient Care Committee, member of the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine.

Dr. Lafranca is also involved with the District Attorney's Office Rape Crisis Center and a Preceptor for Our Lady of the Lake Physicians Assistant Program.
