Summary
Dr. Prather received his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in the LSU Department of Dermatology, where he served as Chief Resident. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in Mohs Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology in Birmingham, AL.
Dr. Prather then returned to Louisiana and founded Dermasurgery Center to help combat the rising skin cancer epidemic in the south.
He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Louisiana Dermatological Society, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, where he also served on the Board of Directors.
He currently serves on the Louisiana State Medical Society Board of Governors.
