MVA for EPL

ACOG representatives will be partnering with LSU OBGYN-BR residency program to host a MVA simulation.


They will provide education on the usage of manual vacuum aspiration in the management of early pregnancy loss.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe advantages and disadvantages of manual vacuum aspiration compared to other management options for early pregnancy loss in the context of shared medical decision making.
  2. Explain indications and other clinical considerations for manual vacuum aspiration.
  3. Explain manual vacuum aspiration techniques and practice manual vacuum aspiration using a dragon fruit model.
  4. Describe considerations for post procedural care.
