- Explain the pathophysiology and complications of congenital syphilis.
- Discuss the appropriate treatment of congenital syphilis.
- Identify treatment alternatives in the setting of penicillin shortage.
- Recognize the different formulations for penicillin used in the treatment of congenital syphilis.
- List methods to lower the likelihood of congenital infection.
