  1. Explain the pathophysiology and complications of congenital syphilis.
  2. Discuss the appropriate treatment of congenital syphilis.
  3. Identify treatment alternatives in the setting of penicillin shortage.
  4. Recognize the different formulations for penicillin used in the treatment of congenital syphilis.
  5. List methods to lower the likelihood of congenital infection.
