BATON ROUGE, La. -- Two Woman’s Hospital administrators were selected for highly sought-after leadership programs in 2023 for their dedication to improving Baton Rouge and the state of Louisiana through growth, collaboration and positive change.

Chief Medical Officer R. Clifton Moore, MS, MD, and Vice President of Human Resources Ed Halphen, MBA, were named part of the Leadership Louisiana and Leadership Baton Rouge classes of 2023 respectively. Since the ‘80s, nearly 3,000 local leaders have gone through these programs to learn and strengthen their skills alongside some of the brightest minds in the state.

Dr. Moore and Halpen were chosen to represent Woman’s Hospital’s core values — respect, innovation, compassion and excellence. Dr. Moore is a warm, engaging physician who believes quality healthcare is crucial to the perpetuity of Louisiana, and Halphen is a dedicated, passionate business professional who aims to make Human Resources less transactional.

Individuals selected for Leadership Louisiana and Leadership Baton Rouge join thousands of alumni representing every major sector: corporate, professional, government, finance, news-media, education, industry, healthcare, legal, university, political, culture and non-profit.

Both programs require members to take training courses throughout the year to expand intersectional awareness within the community. At the end of the year, members graduate with first-hand knowledge of issues facing the region and state.

Topic areas during training include education and workplace development, diversity and inclusivity, city and state government, health care and social issues, economic development, arts and culture, and the criminal justice system.
