Shawn Kleinpeter, MD treats conditions that affect women in all stages of life. As an OB/GYN specialist at Louisiana Women’s Healthcare in Baton Rouge, Dr. Kleinpeter is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is affiliated with Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge and is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Kleinpeter began his medical education at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. After graduating in 1993, he remained at LSU to complete his internship and residency.

With 25 years of experience, Dr. Kleinpeter is accomplished in treating various complications during pregnancy and childbirth. He has extensive experience in treating diabetes, hypertension, ectopic pregnancies, and miscarriages. Dr. Kleinpeter commonly performs C-sections as well as vaginal deliveries after a previous C-Section, and he is knowledgeable in treating infertility.

Dr. Kleinpeter can successfully treat gynecological conditions such as PMS, breast disease, menopausal, and postmenopausal disorders. Regardless of age, his patients can find quality care at his office. He strives to give clear instructions with a friendly, caring attitude.
