Summary

Dr. Cliff Moore grew up in a small town named Elm Grove in North Louisiana prior to coming to LSU in Baton Rouge for his undergraduate training. Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree in Zoology, Dr. Moore moved back to Shreveport to complete his master’s degree in neuropharmacology. He stayed in Shreveport to complete his medical degree at LSUHSC-Shreveport. After obtaining his medical degree he completed his internship and residency in Ob-Gyn at University Medical Center in Jackson Mississippi. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Magee Womens Hospital at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Upon completion of his training he spent seven years in practice in New Orleans at Ochsner Medical Center before transferring his practice to Woman’s Hospital in the summer of 2016.

He is married to Dr. Candace Moore, a Baton Rouge native and fellow obstetrician. They met in Jackson Mississippi during their residency together and have two children, Claire and Carter. In his free time, Dr. Moore enjoys fishing for redfish, playing golf and spending time watching his children play soccer and football.

Special Interests

Dr. Moore has special interest in fetal anomalies and antenatal diagnosis/treatment of fetal disorders. During his time in New Orleans he was a physician leader on the fetal surgery teams that introduced in utero myelomeningocele correction and laser therapy for twin to twin transfusion syndrome to this region. He also enjoys caring for mothers who have a history of cardiac disease.
