Classes & Events

Woman’s offers a large variety of classes & programs for women and their families during all stages of life. Topics range from pregnancy and parenting to wellness and nutrition and many topics in between - all focused on a healthy, fulfilling life. See fitness member classes for schedule of classes included in fitness membership.

All upcoming dates are listed on the class page below class description. Most classes are held at Woman’s Hospital or Woman’s Center for Wellness. Refund Policy: A refund, less a $10 administrative fee, will be issued up to 7 working days before the class date. A refund will not be issued for cancellations received within 7 working days of the class.

  • Safe Sitter
    Safe Sitter® is designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use manikins to practice rescue skills like choking rescue and CPR.
  • Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring
    Designed for clinicians who have previously completed the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course, a comparable fetal monitoring education program and/or hold certification or added credentials in fetal heart monitoring.
  • Preparing for Delivery
    In this two-part class, learn how to recognize when labor starts, when to come to the hospital and what to expect when you arrive.
  • Weight Loss Surgery: What You Should Know
    Join us to learn more about the different types of weight loss surgeries and get your questions answered.
  • Body Basics for Girls
    Your preteen will learn how her body is growing, what changes to expect during puberty and how to take care of herself during this informal, open discussion.
  • Lamaze: A Labor of Love
    Learn how to apply Lamaze techniques for coping with the pain in labor and birth that were discussed in Part II of Preparing for Delivery.
  • Tyke Hyke
    Prepare your 3-year-old for your hospital stay by taking a brief tour of the hospital. Prepare your child for the new baby through practice with life-like baby dolls.
  • A Baby Is Coming
    As your 4 to 8-year-old prepares to be a big brother or sister, he or she will practice diapering, feeding, dressing and playing with baby dolls.
  • Breastfeeding Basics
    Learn the basics of breastfeeding so you can make an informed decision whether it is right for you. One-day and two-day classes offered.
  • Grandparenting 101
    While babies haven't changed, what you need to know about them has changed over time. Brush up on your baby skills with Grandparenting 101!
