Classes & Events

Woman’s offers a large variety of classes & programs for women and their families during all stages of life. Topics range from pregnancy and parenting to wellness and nutrition and many topics in between - all focused on a healthy, fulfilling life. See fitness member classes for schedule of classes included in fitness membership.

All upcoming dates are listed on the class page below class description. Most classes are held at Woman’s Hospital or Woman’s Center for Wellness. Refund Policy: A refund, less a $10 administrative fee, will be issued up to 7 working days before the class date. A refund will not be issued for cancellations received within 7 working days of the class.

  • Body Basics for Girls
    Your preteen will learn how her body is growing, what changes to expect during puberty and how to take care of herself during this informal, open discussion.
  • Beyond Body Basics for Girls
    Class for adolescents, covering topics like mental health, sexual health, reproduction, healthy relationships, online safety and more.
  • Breastfeeding Support Group
    Need encouragement and support as you nurse your baby?
  • Hospital Orientation Tour
    Tour the birth and recovery suites, family waiting areas, transition nursery and more while learning what you can expect while delivering at Woman’s. This tour is for adults only – no exceptions can be made.
  • Beyond Body Basics for Boys
    Class for adolescents, covering topics like mental health, sexual health, reproduction, healthy relationships, online safety and more.
  • Safe Sitter
    Safe Sitter® is designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use manikins to practice rescue skills like choking rescue and CPR.
  • Preparing for Delivery
    In this two-part class, learn how to recognize when labor starts, when to come to the hospital and what to expect when you arrive.
  • Fall Prevention Program for Women
    Exercise class for strength and balance.
  • Modern Management of Eclampsia
    An interdisciplinary continuing education offering with content expert Dr. Marshall St. Amant for MFMs, OB/GYNs, and nurses. Other interested health care providers are invited to attend.
  • Know Your Numbers
    Join our dietitian during National Nutrition Month for the importance of knowing your numbers beyond your body weight.
