Michael Puyau, MD

Dr. Michael Puyau received his medical degree from Tulane Medical School where he also completed his residency and internship in general surgery.

He has been practicing general surgery in Baton Rouge for over 20 years for women and men.

Dr. Puyau is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and a member of Tulane Surgical Society and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

Dr. Puyau’s special interests include critical care, gallbladder disease, gastrointestinal issues, diseases of the breast.

His interests include surgical treatment of gallbladder and GI pathology as well as diseases of the breast.

He is trained in minimally invasive techniques, including the use of the daVinci robot.

He has experience in advanced wound care.
