Charles Lawler, MD

Charles Lawler, MD, an OB/GYN specialist at Louisiana Women’s Healthcare in Baton Rouge, serves his patients with over 30 years of experience. He and his staff offer compassion to all patients while working to provide excellent medical services.

Known for his kind and caring bedside manner, Dr. Lawler has been honored with many awards based on patient votes from Vitals.com. Among others, he has received the Patients’ Choice Fifth Anniversary Award and the Compassionate Doctor Award – Five Year Honoree, both of which reflect five consecutive years of top ratings.

Although Dr. Lawler specializes in prenatal care and delivery, he routinely performs gynecological procedures, such as dilation and curettage (D and C), hysterectomy, and tubal surgery, focusing on minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques. Some of Dr. Lawler’s patients have endometriosis, a disorder of the uterine lining that often leads to infertility. In this case, Dr. Lawler offers treatments for both conditions.

Dr. Lawler graduated in 1988 from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana and completed his internship and residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he is affiliated with Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge.

Dr. Lawler is married with four children and is a member of St. George Catholic Church.

Both English and Spanish are spoken in Dr. Lawler’s office, and he’s currently accepting new patients.
