Dr. Thomas Cook is a native of nearby Pineville, Louisiana. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from LSU in Baton Rouge, Dr. Cook attended LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where he received his medical degree. Upon completion of his Residency at LSU in New Orleans, he returned to Baton Rouge to perform a Bariatric and Robotic Surgery Fellowship at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center before joining The Baton Rouge Clinic in the summer of 2016.

Dr. Taylor is a native of Los Angeles, California.
He was granted a medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., followed by completion of a Surgery Residency at the University of California, Davis. His post-residency training focused on bariatric and laparoscopic surgery procedures.

Heather Dean
Registered Dietitian
Heather has more than 9 years of experience working as a registered dietitian, all nine of those years have been concentrated specifically with bariatrics. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Nutritional Sciences in 2010 and completed her dietetic internship at Southern University in 2011.
Heather assists patients in preparation for weight loss surgery by providing counseling on the diet, exercise recommendations and lifestyle changes that will take place both pre- and post-operatively. She also co-leads the monthly Weight Loss Surgery Support Group meetings and enjoys helping her patients reach their health and wellness goals.
Alanna Williams
Exercise Physiologist
Alanna is the coordinator of the Medical Exercise Program at Woman’s Hospital and Woman’s Center for Wellness and has years of experience working in health care and exercise facilities.
She has her master’s degree in Cardiac Rehab and Exercise Science from East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Penn., and her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wyoming. She is also a certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist from the American College of Sports Medicine.
Renee Belcher
Program Navigator
Renee has been employed by Woman’s Hospital for 20 years, serving the Woman’s Center for Wellness in many different capacities. Her knowledge of the many programs and services offered by Woman’s made her a perfect fit for program navigator at Woman’s Center for Wellness.
Renee uses her time and resources to help guide patients and clients to programs that will empower them to improve their health and well-being.
