BATON ROUGE, La. -- Woman’s Hospital Foundation held its 63rd annual meeting on February 20 to present audited financial statements and highlight medical staff and organization accomplishments for fiscal year 2019.
Some of Woman’s significant accomplishment in 2019 included recognition as the No. 1 Best Place to Work in Healthcare in the U.S. among large healthcare employers by Modern Healthcare, as well as a Best Place to Work by Becker’s Healthcare and Baton Rouge Business Report. Woman’s celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Breast & GYN Cancer Pavilion, launched the GRACE Program to address the opioid epidemic, and improved access to breast cancer screening to women throughout Louisiana. The hospital also welcomed new CEO and president Dr. Barbara Griffith.
Foundation membership includes 119 physician and community leaders who are dedicated to preserving and advancing the hospital’s mission to improve the health of women and infants. Newly elected Foundation members and directors of the Board were also announced:
