LaToya Sampson, RN, BSN, ONC has joined the support services team at the Breast & GYN Cancer Pavilion, where she will serve as a nurse navigator for both breast and gynecologic cancer patients.

As a leader in providing multidisciplinary support to cancer patients, Woman’s Hospital connects patients with a specialized nurse navigator to assist them with the overwhelming expectations and decisions women face during their entire cancer journey from diagnosis to survivorship. Assistance from nurse navigators can include helping to schedule appointments, arranging transportation for patients and their families, connecting patients to support groups and answering questions about medications, treatment, side effects, etc.

Sampson has been an oncology nurse at Woman’s Hospital since 2015 in addition to serving as a palliative care coordinator since 2017. She is certified in oncology nursing and has spent more than a decade in direct patient care.

The Breast & GYN Cancer Pavilion is a partnership between Woman’s Hospital and Mary Bird Perkins - Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center. For more information on the support team or how to contact a cancer nurse navigator, visit womans.org/cancersupport.
