Greater Baton Rouge Business Report Names Woman’s Hospital a Best Place to Work

October 15, 2018

Ranked as No. 8 Among Large Employers

Woman’s Hospital was recently named as one of the 2018 Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge, ranking No. 8 in the large employer category. Woman’s has been named to list every year since the program’s inception in 2014. The awards program is a project of the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report; the Greater Baton Rouge SHRM, an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management; and Best Companies Group. The awards were created to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Baton Rouge, benefiting the economy, workforce and businesses.

“Woman’s Hospital truly invests in our team,” said Donna Bodin, Vice President of Employee/Wellness Services. “In turn, our team takes extraordinary care of our patients, and the hospital reaps the rewards in terms of quality, safety and patient experience.”

Companies from across the region entered the two-part process to determine the awards. The first part consisted of evaluating each company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Baton Rouge and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.
