Nicholas Valluzzo
Nick Valluzzo has been part of Valluzzo Companies and the McDonald’s family almost his entire life. His father, John, was a toddler when Nick’s grandfather and great-grandfather opened two restaurants in Baton Rouge during the early 1960s. His grandfather, Rocco Valluzzo, was first in the market.
The Valluzzo family is deeply rooted in the communities they serve. When deciding whether to get their business involved in a cause, they are clear that their primary goal is that their impact be felt where his restaurants operate. Those efforts focus primarily on children and the family has recently begun a significant philanthropic relationship with Woman’s and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Nick attended the University of Southern Mississippi and pitched for the Golden Eagles. He is a three-year letterwinner (pitcher) for Coach Gerry Garidel at Catholic High and helped lead Catholic High to the district championship (5-5A) in 2000 and 2001 and the regional championship in 2001.
