Lauren Sanders, MD

Dr. Sanders was born and raised in Baton Rouge, and is an alumni of St. Joseph’s Academy. She received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and her medical degree at the LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. She then completed a medical residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alabama –Birmingham. She is currently a member of the American Medical Association and the Louisiana State Medical Society.

Outside of the office, Dr. Sanders enjoys: traveling, the arts – both performing and visual, and spending time with friends and family.

The physicians of Louisiana Women’s Healthcare believe in providing a safe, healthy birthing experience as easily as possible.  We support natural labor and childbirth, but safety for you and your baby are our primary concern. We also offer elective inductions after 39 weeks, primary C-section when appropriate, and epidurals at any stage of labor 24/7.
