Prenatal Fitness Classes

We offer exercise classes for mom-to-be and new moms looking to stay strong, fit and more comfortable during pregnancy and after delivery.

exercisePrenatalExercise can help with some common discomforts of pregnancy and help prepare you for labor and motherhood. $120 for a 12-class pass (Fitness Member, Free) Most women can exercise during pregnancy and it is important that you let your doctor know about your current exercise routine. A physician’s release [PDF] is required for all pre and postnatal programs. For more information, contact us at 225-924-8300.

Fit for Birth

This prenatal class incorporates belly breathing, functional movement, core exercises and labor training, which will benefit you throughout your pregnancy and can shorten both labor and recovery! You will get to know other expectant moms while training with a Fit for Birth Certified Pre-Postnatal Specialist. Prenatal exercises will be tailored to your fitness level and can be used throughout your pregnancy.

Our aqua fitness classes are low-impact workouts that increase flexibility, strength and cardiovascular fitness throughout your pregnancy. The water reduces the usual stress on your muscles and body while supporting the baby’s weight.

Yoga

Moms-to-be perform yoga poses with prenatal modifications for the ever-changing pregnant body, preparing her for labor and alleviating some of the discomforts associated with pregnancy.

Postnatal Fitness

Fit After Baby

New moms and babies, join us for a postnatal restorative workout with a focus is on functional movement and managing activities of daily living with your baby. Babies will be held in a sling or carrier for the duration of the class.

Mondays, 11:00 AM -  12:00 PM

Postnatal classes: You must be at least six weeks postpartum (8 weeks for C-section) and have written clearance from your doctor to resume exercise.

Class Pricing

We offer several options to help you make the most of our fitness programs during and after your pregnancy.

  • 12-Class Pass – $120, expires 90 days after purchase
  • Pay Per Class – $15 per class during your pregnancy
  • Fitness Membership – Join now for unlimited classes and access to the entire facility during your pregnancy. Your fitness membership may be frozen if exercise becomes uncomfortable and while you recover.

Individualized

Consultation

This 60-minute Pregnancy Fitness Consultation will help adapt your exercise program now that you are expecting! Our fitness specialists will show you how to modify exercise throughout your pregnancy. Personal Training

Prenatal women will work with a trainer who will challenge each participant to keep a healthy body throughout pregnancy, making recovery easier. Postnatal classes with your baby allow bonding time while working to return to pre-pregnancy fitness levels. Individual or group personal training pricing based on membership and number of participants.

Nutrition

Our registered dietitians are trained to recommend nutrition to prevent and control diseases.
