40,000+ yearly mammograms
Mammography/Breast Imaging

Early detection is one of the most important factors to surviving breast cancer. Women who catch their breast cancer early are far more likely to survive the disease, and Woman’s offers the most comprehensive detection tools with our state-of-the-art imaging and diagnosis.

Woman’s is the only hospital in the Baton Rouge region with a multiple mammogram review, providing the most thorough screening process available. Each mammogram is reviewed by two doctors and a Computer-Aided Detection System to ensure the highest accuracy possible. This commitment to imaging accuracy is why more than 40,000 women turn to us for their mammograms each year.

Other Breast Imaging Methods

While mammograms are the most useful tests for screening and finding breast cancer early, other types of imaging may be used to ensure that our cancer diagnosis is as accurate as possible. In addition to mammography, Woman’s Imaging Services also employs the use of the MRI, Ultrasound, and Image-guided biopsy when testing for breast cancer.
