Our Newborn and Infant Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is equipped to care for sick or premature infants. We also offer therapy, specialty outpatient clinics and classes and programs for children.
Woman's Hospital offers care for infants, older children and their mothers. Whether preparing for birth, enjoying the first few months of life, or helping a child reach their fullest potential, Woman's provides streamlined, quality care for mother and child alike.
We carefully screen all newborns for potential blood and hearing issues.
- Well-Baby Nursery - Woman’s encourages new moms to keep their babies in their rooms for that special initial bonding, but has designed four well-baby nurseries for times when parents need additional rest. Located on the 3rd and 4th floors within the Mother/Baby pods, our well-baby nurseries are situated within close proximity to the patient rooms.
- Transition Nursery - The Transition Nursery is a place for newborns who may need additional 24/7 observation and care following birth, but whose conditions are not serious enough to require treatment in our NICU.
- Newborn and Infant Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - When a newborn needs additional care, our single-family room, Level III Regional Referral NICU provides around-the-clock monitoring by a caring staff of neonatologists, NICU-trained nurse practitioners and registered nurses.
Keep your child's development on track with our Pediatric Therapy programs, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. We also feature hearing services and nutrition counseling offered by caring, experienced therapists who work to help children reach developmental milestones.
Woman's works to make pregnancy a healthy, educational experience for expectant mothers. We offer many programs so thatm mothers know exactly what to expect during their birth experience, such as childbirth and parenting classes and special events where parents can meet pediatricians.
While the health of mother and baby is always paramount, the staff at Woman’s believes that each woman has the right to play an active role in how she gives birth. We give women the power to choose the birth experience that best suits them, from medication-free to the use of state-of-the-art technology.
