Bon Appetit

Bon Appetit is our intimate dinner for two, elegantly served in your room to celebrate your baby’s birth. Please order 24 hours in advance from any cashier in the cafeteria for delivery between 11:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. For $49.95 plus tax per couple, our menu includes: 

• Soup du jour 
• Garden salad 
• Choice of Tender Beef Filet Mignon or Catfish Louisianne (baked or fried & topped with shrimp sauce)
• Twice-baked Potatoes 
• Fresh rolls 
• Dessert du jour 
• Iced tea, water and coffee.

Food & Nutrition Services

We offer a range of dining options for the entire family. Mom selects her meals from a restaurant-style menu. Room Service is available for guests between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Guests cannot charge food to your hospital bill, and must pay upon delivery. Cash and most major credit cards are accepted.

Patient Rooms

All of our patient rooms were designed with input from staff and patients to create an ideal room. Rooms are slightly angled away from the doorway to help maintain a woman's privacy, and are large enough for family and medical staff to move about freely. At the new Woman's hospital, rooms are significantly quieter through carefully selected design and materials. Larger window sills allow for placement of personal items and gifts.

You'll notice that throughout the entire hospital, all our patient rooms surround a large nurses' station. This allows our staff immediate access to patients and improves care.

Educational Programming On Demand

You may select programming on the television in your patient room. You may choose informative and entertaining programs on topics of interest to new parents from the tv main menu. Multiple languages offered.

Woman’s Concierge Service

Our free concierge service assists patients and families with requests such as hotel information, transportation arrangements, driving directions, questions about the Baton Rouge area and much more.

Mom & Baby Boutique

Mom & Baby Boutique should be your first stop before heading home with your newborn. Our convenient location on the first floor of Physician Office Building is the perfect place to pick up the products recommended by your healthcare team. We feature breastfeeding supplies, breast pump rentals, developmentally appropriate toys and books, and a beautiful selection of infant and preemie clothing. Pastoral Care & Chapel

The Woman’s Hospital Pastoral Services Chaplain meets with people of all faiths, and can make regular visits to patients and their families. For more information, call the Hospital Operator (Dial “0” within the Hospital; 225-927-1300 outside) or Social Services at 225-924-8456.
