Nancy L. Crawford
Senior Vice President/Medical Staff Services and Quality
Ms. Crawford has over 44 years of healthcare management experience, serving the last 32 years at the Hospital. She joined us as Director of Health Information Management and is now the Senior Vice President of Medical Staff Services. She oversees the vice president responsible for the areas of information systems, building operations, safety and emergency preparedness, and has other administrative responsibilities for the area of health information management, clinical quality and data analysis, security and privacy compliance, library services, medical staff credentialing and support services, infection control, and Maternal Fetal Medicine. Nationally, she was re-elected to two three years terms on the American Hospital Association Maternal and Child Health Governing Council, served as Chair Elect in 2009, and as Chair in 2010. She served a two-year term as Vice President (2000-2002) and President (2002-2004) of the Council of Women's and Infants' Specialty Hospitals, an organization of 12 non-profit, high volume perinatal centers, which collectively represent over 125,000 births annually. Statewide, she is a member of the Louisiana Health Information Management Association and a graduate of Leadership Louisiana. Locally, Ms. Crawford is a 1996 graduate of Leadership Greater Baton Rouge. She served as President of the Leadership/Greater Baton Rouge Alumni, Inc. in 2004. Ms. Crawford has also volunteered for the Capital Area United Way, serving as a member (2000-2009) and chairman (2007) of the Community Partnership Committee-Building Healthy Communities and the Planning Committee (2005-2010). As a sustaining member of the Baton Rouge Junior League, she has served in numerous advisory roles and committee leadership roles and was named Sustainer of the Year in 2012.She was also named by the Baton Rouge Business Report as an Influential Women in Business for 2013. Ms. Crawford was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Bayou Federal Credit Union in 2005, appointed to the Old State Capital Foundation Board of Directors in 2014 and is a member of Capital Area Network serving as Vice President in 2006 and President in 2007. Ms. Crawford graduated with high distinction from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and became a Registered Health Information Administrator in December 1970.
