15th Annual Woman’s Victory Open Golf Tournament

Take a swing to help fight breast cancer by participating in the Woman's Victory Open (WVO).

Our 2013 event is comprised of a Sunday night reception, “Pink on the Plaza”, on October 13, 2013, at the Hilton Capitol Center. The Monday tournament is on October 7, 2013, at the Country Club of Louisiana. Last year's Woman’s Victory Open netted approximately $145,000.

WVO supports the breast cancer outreach and educational programs of Woman’s Hospital. In 2012, the Mobile Mammography Coach provided screenings for more than 5,200 women at 55 locations in our 15-parish area. The coach travelled aprox. 13,000 miles, making 206 trips. At least 50% of the patients using this program have no insurance and in the rural parishes this is as high as 90%. The program has been successful in reaching underserved women and collaborating with community-based organizations, which helps to reduce geographic and financial barriers to care. With early detection and prompt treatment, more than 93% of breast cancer cases can be cured, which makes access to screening critical to saving lives.

Pink on the PlazaPlan attend the Pink on the Plaza Pre-Tournament Party at the Hilton Capitol Center on Sunday, October 13, 2013, 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM. We will have a chef’s showcase, silent auction, live auction and live entertainment to celebrate and honor breast cancer survivors, tournament players and WVO Sponsors.
