Pediatric Cleft Lip/Cleft Palate Clinic

Woman's Hospital established the Pediatric Cleft Lip/Cleft Palate Clinic as part of our continuing commitment to fulfill the health care needs of women and infants.

Members of the clinic meet regularly to plan treatment for children with cleft lip or cleft palate. Clinic members also exchange information on current research and new forms of treatment and provide education and support for patients and their families. All the doctors and health care professionals treating your child will be invited to the clinic to participate or observe.

Children seen at the clinic will be evaluated by other doctors and health care experts, including:

• Registered nurse
• Social worker
• Orthodontist
• Plastic surgeon
• Pediatric dentist (pediodontist
• Ear, nose and throat doctor (ENT or otolaryngologist)
• Speech therapist
