Woman's Metabolic Health Clinic
Our focus is on women and their unique health needs. With an emphasis on preventive care, we offer specialized services for women with:
- History of gestational diabetes
- Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
- Insulin resistance/metabolic syndrome
- Unexplained abdominal weight gain
- Strong family history of type 2 diabetes
Each member of our multidisciplinary team is devoted to providing women who are facing metabolic health challenges with the tools and information necessary to live healthy, productive lives. Team members include:
- Medical and research doctors
- Registered dietitians
- Registered nurse educators
- Certified exercise physiologists
Through proven diagnostic testing and consultation, each woman receives an individual metabolic health plan based upon her specific needs, along with one-on-one assistance in following the plan as needed.
Making An Appointment
You can make an appointment with Woman’s Metabolic Health Clinic by calling us at 225-924-8947 anytime during normal weekday business hours and setting a convenient time for your initial consultation. Please note this clinic is physician-referral based. You must have a doctor's referral to receive care at our specialty clinic. Specialized blood tests will need to be conducted after your initial consultation with our physician.
The Clinic is located on the main campus of Woman’s Hospital, on the fifth floor of the Physician Office Building, Suite 513. Please try to arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first appointment in order to have time to fill out the necessary paperwork.
