Pilates


The Pilates method of exercise routine seeks to strengthen the body’s core with strength, flexibility and coordination classes on the mat or on machines. Pilates focuses on quality rather than quantity, allowing the body to react differently to stress and begin to heal as needed. Participants experience the mind/body connection by focusing on proper breathing, correct spinal and hip alignment, and mental concentration.

Allegro Reformer
A reformer is a special apparatus that allows for full range of motion with increasing levels of difficulty. You will be guided through a series of controlled exercises that are specifically tailored to your level of ability.

Through this program, you will attain a higher level of balance in your exercise program as you simultaneously strengthen and stretch your entire body, ultimately helping you develop greater strength, improved balance, ease of motion, and improved bone health.

Personal Trainers with Pilates Allegro Reformer
Our personal trainers provide the guidance needed to ensure your Pilates Allegro Reformer workouts fit your individual needs and fitness goals. This additional level of support from trained professionals provides you with immediate, specific feedback to make optimal use of the time you invest in personal wellness. Choose from individual training sessions or small group training. Through this program, you will attain a higher level of balance in your exercise program as you simultaneously strengthen and stretch your entire body, ultimately helping you develop greater muscle strength, improved balance, ease of motion, and improved bone health.

Introductory
This class is designed to provide an understanding of the fundamentals of Pilates Reformer work. It also serves as a great addition to an existing fitness program. The 4-session series covers body mechanics and alignment, core strength, breath work and economy of movement. This dynamic method is challenging, and facilitates core strength, correct posture and flexibility.

Intermediate
The 4 to 12 classes per session Intermediate class is for those who have completed the Introductory Series and are ready for greater challenge. Basic skills will be progressed to increase strength, flexibility and balance. Participants will be able to focus more deeply and receive more personalized hands-on instruction.

Advanced
In the 4 session Advanced class, the skills and abilities gained in the Introductory and Intermediate Series are built upon to further challenge the core muscles of the abdomen, gluteus and back. Strength and balance are emphasized with new and intense postures. Participants leave each session feeling energized and empowered by the movements.
Through this program, you will attain a higher level of balance in your exercise program as you simultaneously strengthen and stretch your entire body, ultimately helping you develop greater strength, improved balance, ease of motion, and improved bone health.

We use and recommend Pilates equipment by Balanced Body.
