Woman's for Patients

At Woman’s, our goal is to serve the health needs of women and infants in our community. Our wellness programs are designed for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Through our programs for women, we strive to provide the best of all possible healing environments for diagnosis and treatment. Our birthing services and neonatal care set the tone for sensitive, patient-centered health care throughout our hospital.

We put you, the patient, first. We believe that an informed patient who knows what to expect from a visit is the best patient.

Woman’s is Smoke-free
We are proud to lead the way to a healthier community with a smoke-free environment. We hope that you, your family, and visitors will support our efforts and that, some day, all babies born at Woman’s will go home to a smoke-free world.  Smoking is not permitted in buildings, on the grounds or in parking lots. For the health of our patients, employees, and visitors, we ask that you please extinguish all smoking materials before exiting your vehicle.

Security/Lost and Found
Our guards provide 24-hour patrols of hospital floors and parking lots, vehicle assistance, patient information, patient assistance (admitting and discharge) and lost and found. For general security information, parking lot escorts, or lost and found, dial extension 8473. When calling from outside the hospital, dial 225-924-8473.

Prescription drugs (outpatient) limited coverage
Your Medicare Coverage
Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) covers a limited number of outpatient prescription drugs under limited conditions. Generally, drugs covered under Part B are drugs you wouldn't usually give to yourself, like those you get at a doctor's office or hospital outpatient setting. Questions or Concerns
If you have any questions or concerns, please ask your nurse. If you have a problem that cannot be resolved by your nurse, or if you wish to pass along a compliment or suggestion, please call our Patient Relations Department, extension 5555 (when calling from outside the hospital, dial 225-231-5555). We encourage you to voice your opinion regarding your care and we welcome your comments.

If the staff of the Patient Relations Department does not resolve your concerns to your satisfaction, please contact nursing administration at 8452 or by dialing (225) 924-8452, or hospital administration at extension 8101 or by dialing (225) 924-8101.

Woman's Hospital offers the convenience of online management of your patient account. Use your patient account number and birthday to log into our secure service. You can make payments to your bill using your credit card, update address and insurance information, view your account activity, and submit bill-related questions.
