Experience Woman’s is a Huge SuccessThousands Attended
On May 19, over 2,000 people from across the community got a sneak peak at the new hospital at our Experience Woman’s Open House event.
On Saturday, May 19, the new hospital was packed with local residents who couldn’t wait to get a look at our soon-to-open campus. Through our Experience Woman’s Open House event, we invited the community to tour the facility, get answers to their questions and experience some of our new technology first hand.
“It was a really great event and we were thrilled with the turn out,” said Amiee Goforth, Woman's “As the hospital opening nears, community excitement is on the rise and we thought this would be a good way to share a brief look to get an idea of what to expect. Most of the people were really blown away by the bigger rooms, the NICU, the overall design and even the cafeteria. I loved watching their reactions during the tour.”
Guests also enjoyed some fun and games, such as medical trivia, and a diaper changing and swaddling contest. Some male guests were even encouraged to try on an “empathy belly,” a padded stomach that mimics the feeling of being pregnant.
“Everyone had fun with the games, too,” said Angela Hammett, Woman's. “I think the husbands that tried on the empathy belly were glad they never had to go through pregnancy.”
