Our Chief Financial Officer receives LSU Esprit de Femme Award
April 03, 2012
Stephanie Anderson, Woman’s Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer, was one of two 2012 recipients of the LSU Women’s Center Esprit de Femme Award. Each year during Women’s History Month, the LSU Women’s Center presents this award to acknowledge women who have made exceptional efforts towards the advancement of women. Anderson was honored on March 22 at the LSU Student Union Theater.
“What I love most about my job is that it provides me with the opportunity to work for an organization that is dedicated to helping our community. I am part of a team that is carrying out the mission of Woman’s Hospital, to improve the health of women and infants,” says Anderson.
During her 22 years at Woman’s, Stephanie Anderson has guided projects that have impacted thousands of new lives, women’s health and community growth overall. She has been instrumental in both of the hospital’s most ambitious expansions: Woman’s Center for Wellness and the construction of the new Woman’s Hospital, which will open in summer this year. Other programs she has implemented include outreach to hospitals without on-site maternal fetal medicine physicians and the establishment of a Mother-to-Child HIV Transmission Prevention Program. In 2011, Stephanie was also named as one of the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report’s Most Influential Women in Business.
Recipients of the Esprit de Femme Award are chosen by a committee comprised of the Director of the LSU Women’s Center, the Vice provost for Equity, Diversity, and Community Outreach, the Chairperson of the University Council on Women, a student representative, and a community representative.
