There’s No Place Like Woman’s

Woman’s employees have drifted off into Munchkin land and started dreaming about the 2011 Employee Giving Campaign!

In a nod to the classic film, “The Wizard of Oz,” employees are asked to become “Woman’s Wizards” and help support four programs (PDF) that benefit those in difficult circumstances. The campaign motto, “There’s No Place Like Woman’s,” showcases how our employees have created an exceptional place; a place where we strive to make life’s experiences in brilliant Technicolor. The 2011 Employee Giving Campaign is all about making Woman’s an even a better place – our own Land of Oz.

The campaign’s primary goal this year is to achieve 75 percent employee participation; our secondary goal is to raise $85,000. The Employee Emergency Fund and the Donor Human Milk programs will each receive 35 percent of the funds raised, and the Mother-to-Child HIV Transmission Prevention and Care for Victims of Sexual Assault programs will each receive 15 percent.

For three weeks (August 19 to September 9), the hospital will be divided into six teams comprised of various departments, all competing for the highest percentage of participation and finding the biggest pot of gold somewhere over the rainbow.

Dorothy’s Division is ruby red with happiness; Tin Man’s Troop is ready to get galvanized; Good Witch’s Gang is glistening with joy; Lion’s League is puttin’ em up for a good fight; Scarecrow’s Squad is getting all their straws in a row; and Toto’s Team is panting with excitement. They don’t want to ease on down the road…they want to take off running!
