BioDr. Buchert is a native of Baton Rouge, LA. She received her medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. She completed her OB-GYN training at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. Her medical focus encompasses general gynecology and Obstetrics. Dr. Buchert is also a proud mother of four young boys and enjoys spending time outdoors.

Special Medical InterestsDr. Buchert enjoys spending time with women of all ages to provide guidance on preventative health issues; working with young women to discuss reproductive health and contraception options; and helping expectant mothers to follow a whole wellness approach to pregnancy and child bearing. She believes that with education and compassion she can help women thrive from adolescence, through menopause, and the later years of life.

In addition to medicated deliveries, Dr. Buchert also practices the following natural childbirth options, for the low risk patient:

• Use of a certified doula
• Ambulation during labor
• Tub labor
• Light diet during labor 
• Routine IV not required
• Intermittent electronic fetal monitoring during labor 
• Routine Pitocin after delivery not required
• Walking epidural

Dr. Buchert is also skilled at and offers Laparoscopic Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery,  hysteroscopy, NovaSure endometrial ablation, LEEP, Essure, and Physician Assisted Robotic Surgery.
