Special Medical InterestsI am passionate about assuring that all of my patients are well informed and that we make decisions together. I enjoy spending time with women of all ages to provide guidance on healthy living, as well as treating issues such as difficult periods, trouble getting pregnant, pelvic pain, endometriosis, painful sex, menopause, PMS/PMDD, depression, hormonal imbalance, contraception, and weight gain/metabolic imbalance. I strive to treat women in the least invasive method possible, but when surgery is required, I am skilled in Endometrial Ablation, Laparoscopy, and Physician Assisted Robotic Surgery for hysterectomy, ovarian surgery, and other needs.

Helping expectant moms follow a whole wellness approach to pregnancy and childbirth is extremely important to me. I enjoy helping women realize hopes and plans for birth. Sometimes that is an epidural early in labor, other times that is a tub delivery without IV or medications, but always it is a special life event of motherhood! Our entire practice of OBs works together to consistently support our patients, and also to maintain safe and evidence based care. We provide monthly gatherings in our office with the doctors as an open forum for discussion, as learning in a group is very effective! For moms planning to breastfeed, I provide guidance for success. I am also happy to work with a certified doula and support VBAC.

I feel strongly about community service and educating women on health issues. I routinely provide health education talks to various women’s groups, am an active member of the Junior League of Baton Rouge, and work with the Capital Area CASA Association.
