My interest in the subspecialty began as a resident in OB/Gyn. RE/I developed as the first complete clinical subspecialty with a direct connection to basic science and mammalian reproduction. After practicing five years of general Ob/Gyn doing infertility surgery, I was offered a position as a Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center/Division of Reproductive Endocrinology in Nashville, Tennessee (one of the first IVF clinics in the USA). The text books have been re-written from the knowledge gained in the laboratory watching human reproduction and development take place under the watchful and inquisitive eyes of clinicians and scientists.
Special Medical InterestsSince our establishment in 1998, our philosophy of care has been excellence and innovation in care, attention to individual patient needs, and compassionate delivery of RE/I services in the most cost efficient manner. These qualities are those on which our reputation is and will continue to be based.
Our goals for patients at A Woman’s Center for Reproductive Medicine are providing the highest standard of medical care in their infertility experience. Whether the needs are simple or complex, we offer both diagnostic and treatment services and provide both information and emotional support as each case is approached individually. Our ultimate goal is building families one healthy baby at a time with particular emphasis on decreasing or eliminating high order multiple gestations without compromising pregnancy rates. New technologies are recently in place in our system to aid in achieving this objective.
