Our Medical Audit (Internal Audit) department is responsible for performing bill audits, which consist of comparing patient bills to the medical record and determining that the charges are complete and accurate. Medical auditors work with corporate compliance issues by investigating, correcting and changing policy. Staff members analyze findings to determine the source of recurring billing problems and recommend corrective action to appropriate areas. Patient inquiries and complaints are researched by medical auditors.
