Woman's exceptional care, centered on you

Woman's Hospital provides care for women experiencing labor pains and other obstetrical and gynecological conditions. RNs assess patients for onset of labor and complications of pregnancy under the direction of the patient's obstetrician. The Assessment Center is located on the first floor, in the main hospital building, and has dedicated parking, entrance and waiting room.

What happens when I arrive at the Assessment Center?
You will be examined:

• To see how sick you are
• To see if you are in labor
• To see how soon you need to be treated

The examination includes:

• Taking your vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
• Asking questions about your symptoms and medical history

Following your doctor's orders if your doctor sent you here If you have an illness or an injury we do not treat, our medical team will stabilize you. You will then be sent to a hospital that treats your illness. Hospital staff works with the Rape Crisis Center to provide care for victims of sexual assault. The Assessment Center is not a full-service emergency room or a clinic.

1. From Woman’s Way, follow exterior signage to the left (west). Temporary parking in lot A.
2. Alternate: Facing the main information desk, turn left and follow the hallway to the Assessment Center located on the left, just past Admitting.
