Bone densitometry is a safe and easy exam that detects early bone loss by measuring bone mineral density which can help guide you and your doctor with prevention and treatment options.
Woman's offers bone densitometry, which is performed by a board-certified radiologic technologist and provides a report to your referring physician. Bone density scans are avaiable at Woman's Hospital Imaging Services on the main campus.
In addition, our team of physicians, nutritionists, physical therapists, fitness experts, pharmacists and lab technicians can recommend lifestyle changes and appropriate therapies for better bone health.
