We understand that personal situations interact with a patient's medical condition, treatment, recovery, or safe transition to another care environment. Our licensed social workers are available during working hours seven days a week and are on call for emergencies only after hours and on holidays and are assigned to all areas of the hospital. Staff members assist patients and their families by providing information and referral for preadmission and discharge planning. Social workers address a variety of patient needs including psychosocial counseling; patient and family advocacy; financial concerns; support groups; relationship problems; problems related to care and activities of daily living; and problems of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.

Our social workers support you through surgery, cancer care, pediatric specialty clinics, and with a high-risk pregnancy, special care infants, postpartum depression, and pastoral care.
