Woman’s Hospital offers 24-hour, in-house anesthesia services for obstetric and surgical patients. The staff of 8 board-certified anesthesiologists, 24 certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) and support staff also offer pain management services for post-operative and oncology patients.
Approximately 99% of our obstetrical patients receive epidural and/or spinal anesthetics. Our 8 anesthesiologists perform about 7800 epidural anesthetics per year with one of the lowest complication rates in the country.
Through the surgery department our group performs around 7500 anesthetics per year. In some instances, we can provide sedation for in-office procedures.
