A Continuing Medical Education Offering for OB/GYNs, MFM Physicians, Neonatologists, Perinatologists, Pediatricians. Other interested health care providers are invited to attend.


Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this offering the participant will be able to:

1. Explain the importance of "Opt-Out" HIV testing for pregnant women regarding the prevention of perinatal transmission.

2. Recognize clinical scenarios apprpriate for the use of rapid versus standard HIV testing.

3. Outline appropriate antenatal, intrapartum, and neonatal treatment of the HIV positive mother.
