This program is a continuing medical education (CME) offering for Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Other interested healthcare providers are also invited to attend.

Chief of Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the Jennie Sealy Smith Distinguished Chair in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Perinatology.

 Program Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

 

  1. Summarize evidence-based, protocols for the diagnosis and management of gestational diabetes.
  2. Cite existing controversies relevant to diagnosing gestational diabetes.
  3. Discuss the impact of poor glycemic control on both maternal and fetal outcomes.
  4. Outline appropriate post-partum recommendations associated with gestational diabetes.
