Tribute Giving Program Many of us struggle to find lasting ways to recognize colleagues and co-workers at holidays, birthdays, anniversaries or other special occasions. One way is a tribute in their name to Woman’s Hospital Foundation. A gift in the name of a friend or loved one is a meaningful way to honor their life and leave a lasting impression on Woman’s Hospital, the patients we care for and the services we provide. Tribute gifts can also be made to recognize a caregiver for exceptional service. To make a tribute donation online, click here. Hall of Stars Parents, grandparents, godparents, relatives, co-workers, employers and friends have the opportunity to permanently recognize the special occasion of a baby’s birth. Currently, nearly 2,000 stars are displayed in the Woman’s Hospital Hall of Stars. Each star is individually hand-painted and inscribed with the child’s name and date of birth. Also, each star represents a donation that helps to further the mission of Woman’s Hospital. It is located on the second floor in the hallway outside the Labor and Delivery Unit. You can purchase a star to commemorate your baby’s birth. Each beautiful ceramic star is individually hand painted and inscribed with your child’s name and date of birth. Call 225-924-8103. Planned Giving Programs
Estate Giving A bequest allows you to support the mission of Woman’s Hospital beyond your lifetime, while reducing your taxable estate. Through your will, an addendum to an existing will or a living trust, you can give Woman’s Hospital Foundation a specific dollar amount, a specific asset or a percentage of your estate, which can include stocks, bonds, CDs, real estate, vehicles, art, jewelry and other personal property. A residuary bequest gives the remainder of your estate after all other bequests have been made. A contingent bequest makes a gift to Woman’s should your named beneficiaries not survive you. Contact the Development Office and simply inform them that Woman’s Hospital Foundation has been placed in your will. You will become a member of The Legacy Society and be recognized each year in the Woman’s Hospital Annual Report.
