    Ways to Give

Annual Giving Fund - Centered on our Community
The challenges affecting women and babies in our community and state are staggering.  Your Annual Fund gift provides vital support that allows Woman’s Hospital to offer programs designed to meet the immediate, critical needs of women and babies - programs that reach the underserved and uninsured.   Together, we can ensure the following programs, and many others like them, continue to provide needed healthcare services to women and babies in our community:

    • Care for Victims of Sexual Assault
    • Home Care
    • HIV Case Worker Program
    • Lactation Program
    • Metabolic Health Clinic
    • Mobile Mammography Coach
    • Neurodevelopmental Clinic
    • Oncology Services for Women with Cancer
    • Special Needs Assistance for Patients

    Founders & Friends Endowment Society
Woman’s Hospital’s Founders & Friends Endowment was established to ensure the future of Woman’s Hospital and its ability to provide quality programs and services to meet the needs of women and babies in the community for years to come.  For information regarding Founders & Friends Life Memberships, please contact the Office of Development at (225) 924-8720 or email us. Honor Giving Program
A tribute gift is a lasting way to celebrate the birth of a child, to recognize a colleague, or to remember a loved one’s birthday, anniversary or other special occasion. Tribute gifts can also be made to recognize a caregiver for exceptional service.

    Disaster Fund
Woman’s Hospital is designated by the state of Louisiana as the Emergency Disaster Preparedness Hospital for pregnant women and babies seeking refuge from a crisis or natural disaster.  Your gift to this fund will be used to provide life-saving, critical healthcare services and related needs for women, babies, and their family members impacted by future disasters.

Planned Giving - Leave a Legacy
Woman’s Hospital has touched virtually everyone in the community. We have always been a nonprofit hospital. As we survey the future of health care for the women and infants in our community, we realize we now need to turn to you to help us continue the legacy of our unique facility. We appreciate your desire to invest in securing our mission to improve the health of women and infants.

You may believe your personal wealth is not large enough to leave a bequest to a charity. However, you do not need to have a lot of money to donate to a worthy organization of your choice. You can join the growing group of individuals who are remembering Woman’s Hospital in a will or another planned giving vehicle.

Through effective planning, you and your financial advisor can balance your financial goals with your charitable interests. There are many gift planning options that work to provide support to our organization while creating tax and income advantages for you and your heirs.

Some ways you can invest in a lasting legacy to help the women, children, and families cared for by Woman’s Hospital include:

    • Make a bequest, a gift through your will.
    • Name Woman’s Hospital as a beneficiary of your retirement plan.
    • Make a gift through life insurance.
    • Establish a living trust.
    • Establish a charitable gift annuity.
    • Outright gifts to Woman’s Hospital’s Founders & Friends Endowment (e.g., cash, stocks, and real estate).

Your donation will significantly impact the future of the hospital and the health and well-being of women and their families for generations to come.  We appreciate your consideration of Woman’s Hospital as an organization deserving of your support.

    Hall of Stars

The Hall of Stars program has been suspended, effective January 1, 2009, due to the move to the new hospital. We recognize and appreciate how beloved the Hall of Stars has become for our patients, their families, our physicians, and our employees. We do not feel it is feasible to continue adding stars to the Hall since we will not be able to move it in its entirety.

Every effort will be made to provide a meaningful remembrance of the Hall of Stars at our new campus. This recognition will be lasting at our new hospital and will include the names and birthdates currently listed on the stars.

We have not determined what will happen to the actual stars themselves. As soon as those plans are made, we will share them with you. Thank you for your understanding. The Hall of Stars holds a special place in many, many hearts.

Although stars are not being added to the wall, you may still order a star to be sent to you or the honoree’s family.  If you wish to purchase a star or have questions regarding the Hall of Stars, please contact the Office of Development at (225) 924-8720 or email us.
