An interdisciplinary continuing education offering for OB/GYNs, MFMs, Social Workers, and Nurses. Other interested health care providers are also invited to attend.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:

1. Identify a variety of addictive substances that, when used during pregnancy, can have a negative impact on mother and/or baby.

2. Describe the mechanisms of action of select substances in the body and the long-term effects of unauthorized substance use in pregnancy.

3. Discuss treatment plans for a pregnant patient who uses drugs and long-term effects of the MAT harm reduction strategy.
