  1. Discuss the historical background and mortality rates of amniotic fluid embolism.
  2. List three of the pathophysiologic aspects that are seen in amniotic fluid embolism.
  3. Compare and contrast the two phases associated with amniotic fluid embolism.
  4. Describe initial treatment strategies in a patient that has just suffered an amniotic fluid embolism.
