Deborah Sternberg is President and one of the owners of Starmount Life Insurance Company and AlwaysCare Benefits of Baton Rouge. Deborah oversees the company's individual life and health insurance division, including operations and new business development, as well as group marketing and corporate communications.
Prior to Starmount and AlwaysCare, Deborah was Vice President at Goodman Media International, a public relations firm, and News Producer for the CBS News network, both headquartered in New York City. Deborah also served as Deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu.
Named one of Louisiana’s “Most Powerful & Influential Women” by the National Diversity Council in 2010, one of the “Most Influential Women in Business” and “Top 40 Under 40” by the Baton Rouge Business Report in 2011 and 2007 respectively, Deborah serves on the Board of Directors for the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana and the LSU Honors College Advisory Board, among others. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University's Barnard College.
