Woman’s Hospital

Woman’s mission is to improve the health of women and infants.

Woman’s was one of the first women’s specialty hospitals in the nation, and is currently one of the largest in the United States. Opened in November 1968, Woman’s is a private, nonprofit organization that is consistently recognized for its care of women and infants.

Woman’s performs more than 7,600 surgeries and 45,000 breast procedures, and reads more than 55,000 Pap screens. It is the largest delivery service in Louisiana and was the first area hospital to achieve Nursing Magnet® status.
